How we moderate

What we check, what we refuse, and what we do when you report a problem.

Who can post

We do not ask for an ID document: the age of an ad is the one the person states. The “Verified” badge adds a video check.

It is not an ID document check.

Videos and stories

The videos and stories of ads are watched by our team before they are published.

Automatic filters

The name and description of an ad are refused if they contain a word that suggests a minor, a link, an e-mail address or a phone number.

Blog articles

Articles written by site owners go through a filter before publication: some are refused, others wait until a person on our team reads them.

What is forbidden

A report confirmed for any of these reasons gets the account banned.

How to report

On a profile The “Report” button is at the bottom of every profile. Pick the reason: possible minor, coercion or trafficking, fake or stolen photos, scam, other.

What we do with a report

  1. It goes into our moderation team’s queue. Possible-minor and trafficking reports come first, and the safety team gets an e-mail alert.
  2. “Possible minor”: the ad is taken off the site at once, before it is even reviewed.
  3. A person on our team reviews it. If it is confirmed, the account is banned: it can no longer log in and all its ads are taken down.
  4. If it is not confirmed, an ad that was taken down comes back online. Every decision is recorded in a log.

For the authorities

Police, courts and child-protection organisations can write to us at this address. We respond to judicial requests. safety@meslibertines.cc

Questions

What does the “Verified” badge mean?

Our team watched a selfie video of the person with a code given by the site, and compared it with the photos of the ad. It is not an ID document check.

Do I need an account to report?

No. Use the “Report” button at the bottom of the profile, or write to the safety team. Leaving your e-mail is optional.

My ad was taken down after a “possible minor” report. What happens now?

It stays offline during the review: you cannot put it back online yourself. If the report is not confirmed, it comes back online.
